What the card is
The Medical Marijuana Use Registry identification card is the state-issued proof that you are an approved patient or caregiver. Licensed Medical Marijuana Treatment Centers require an active card before any purchase. A physician certification alone is not enough — the card is a separate state decision with its own application and its own expiration date.
Caregivers need their own state-issued card before purchasing or administering on a patient's behalf; the caregiver is added to the patient's registry application and approved separately by the state.
How the application works
Once your physician enters a certification, you complete the state's application in the registry: confirm identity and residency information, upload a photo and documents as the state requires, and pay the state fee. The state reviews applications on its own timeline, which we do not control and will not estimate. The state's site — not this page — is the authoritative source for current requirements.
Renewing the card
The card expires on its own schedule, separate from your physician certification. Renewing the card is a state transaction through the registry, including the state renewal fee. Keep both dates in view: an active card with an expired certification — or the reverse — can interrupt your ability to purchase.

No. Only the State of Florida issues registry identification cards. We provide the physician evaluation; the card application and issuance are entirely the state's process.
How much is the state fee?
The State of Florida sets and collects it — it is never paid to the practice. Because the state can change it, we do not reprint the amount here; the official OMMU card page carries the current figure.
How long does the state take to approve the card?
Processing times are set by the state and vary. We do not control, accelerate, or promise state timelines. The official registry and OMMU pages carry the state's current guidance.
Can I purchase while my card application is pending?
State rules require an active registry identification card for purchases at licensed dispensaries. Until the state approves and activates your card, a certification alone does not authorize purchases.
